Teaching any form of art, let alone improvisation, is similar to conducting an intervention: you’re asking participants to look at what they’re thinking (and why), rather than worrying if they’re failing.

But there’s no such thing as failing—only the cut and thrust of learning. No wonder, then, that I like to build swords, swing swords, yell things while I do it. I'm also a working actor, with an extensive academic background culminating in a Master of Arts, 1st Class (Theatre Studies), from the University of Waikato.
